Taking the coastal route from Donegal Town, we will visit Sliabh Liag, the highest accessible sea cliffs in Europe. We will pass through many towns and villages including Killybegs, Ireland’s premier fishing harbour. Step back in time at Glencolmcille Folk Village and see how life was here a century ago.

Malin Head, Inishowen, Co. Donegal
Day 2: Malin Head and Inishowen

Travel north through Inishowen, Ireland’s largest peninsula. Visit Grianan of Aileach, the ancient seat of power of the Ulster chieftains and Lough Swilly, the inspiration for ‘Amazing Grace’. Step back in time at Doagh Famine Village and experience how life used to be in the area. Your day culminates by reaching Malin Head, Ireland’s most Northerly point and the filming location of Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi.

Day 3: Glenveagh National Park and Gaeltacht

Travelling through the Irish speaking Donegal Gaeltacht and vast peat boglands of rural Donegal, we will visit Fanad Lighthouse, one of the Signature points on Donegal’s Wild Atlantic Way. By afternoon, we will explore Glenveagh National Park and Castle to learn about the deeds (good and bad) of its former owners.

Day 4: Causeway Coast, Northern Ireland

What could be described as an extension to the Wild Atlantic Way, the Causeway Coast in Northern Ireland has become a world famous destination. The drive gets its name from the iconic Giant’s Causeway, Northern Ireland’s first UNESCO Heritage Site. However, there are many more exciting attractions along the way from Derry ~ Londonderry to Belfast.
